What is social return?
Social return is an approach to help people with a distance to the labor market find work. Like sustainable procurement, it is part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The government also considers social return important and has therefore introduced the Participation Act.
The goal of this law is to gradually create 125,000 jobs for people with labor disabilities by 2026. Various government organizations, such as the municipality of Amsterdam and the national government, stipulate social return as a condition in (some of) their tenders.
Why fulfill your social return obligation with Swink?

Social procurement? Here's how to do it
Door sociaal aan te besteden, werk je aan je SROI (social return on investment). Je draagt met je investering bij aan het creëren van banen voor mensen met een arbeidsbeperking.
By tendering socially, you work on your SROI (social return on investment). With your investment you contribute to the creation of jobs for people with disabilities. When tendering, you can reserve the contract to sheltered workshops and social enterprises under the Procurement Act. With a PSO 30+ certificate, a social enterprise demonstrates that they meet the requirements for reserved procurement.
But how do you market a reserved tender? On behalf of Cedris, the association for an inclusive labor market, law firm Van Doorne wrote the manual 'Socialer aanbesteden'. Do you also want to contribute to an inclusive labor market? Download the manual (in Dutch)!
