Accessibility audit: how it works
1. Intake
The audit begins with an intake. Which website(s) and/or app(s) would you like to have audited? Based on this, we will provide an estimate of the number of hours required. This way, you will know exactly what we will be auditing and what it will cost.
2. Research
We examine an average of 12 to 18 pages, based on 55 criteria. We determine the sample according to the WCAG-EM guideline. This is the W3C's standard evaluation method for testing digital accessibility. The researcher checks, partly automatically and partly manually, whether the pages in the sample meet the criteria of WCAG 2.2 AA.
3. Result
The result is a comprehensive report with findings and examples, a management summary, and an action plan. Naturally, we will review the report together. We will also provide the supporting documentation for your accessibility statement.
4. Recheck
Are you implementing changes based on the results? If so, you can have us perform a recheck. We will verify the changes to ensure that accessibility has demonstrably improved. You can then update the accessibility statement.
