What can I do for you?

After gaining experience as a web analyst, I made the switch to digital accessibility. Why? Digital accessibility is important for everyone. First, because there are far more people with permanent or temporary disabilities than you might expect. Second, because it benefits everyone. So I'm happy to help you make your website accessible. I do this by checking it against the WCAG criteria and explaining what needs to be improved. I also like to think along with you about possible solutions, so that your website becomes as accessible as possible for everyone.

Extraordinary fun facts about Annette

  • Likes to build cat furniture from cardboard for her two cats, including a cat climbing and sleeping tower and a swing ship.
  • Got her PhD in 2015 for a study on the contribution of children's poetry to children's cultural development in primary schools. In this, she was particularly interested in the ‘sense of nonsense’ in poems, rhymes and songs for children.
  • Did a course in ‘Classical upholstering’ and likes to patch up old chairs. She gives each chair she refurbishes a name. She is now joined by Ome Broos & Ome Jaap, Catharina, Rémy and Johanna (a.k.a. Pieternel).
